Formal education is different from informal and non formal education. There is the difference of formal education from informal and non formal education;
• The formal education is the basic type of education which starts at school level and end at university level.
• Formal education is bounded by time.
• Formal education scope is narrow and limited it means that this type of education is not vast.
• There are many sources of formal education in which school, library, museum and many others educational places are included.
• The main aim of formal education is development of man intellectually.

• The schedule of time is fixed in formal education.
• Formal education curriculum consist of fixed subjects and co- curricular activities.
• Formal education is not real it means that this type of education is unreal.

Informal Education
There is the difference of Informal Education from formal and non formal education;

• The scope of informal education is not limited like formal education it means that it’s scope is very vast.
• There are many sources of Informal Education in which home, play ground, market places and many others places are included.
• Informal education focus on practical education.
• Informal education is received at anytime from every and any person in daily life.
• The curriculum of informal education is life itself.
• Informal education is not unreal like formal it means that informal education is natural.
• There are fixed and scheduled teaching methods in informal education.
• Informal education is not imparted by trained teachers it means that Informal Education can be received from any person at any time.

Non Formal Education
There is the difference of non formal education from formal and informal education;
• Non formal education is continuous process.
• The scope of non formal education is also vast just like informal education.
• There are many sources of non formal education in which structured organisations and theatres are included.
• The main purpose of non formal education is the development of man from every point.
• Non formal education is also already planned like formal education.
• Curriculum of non formal education are need based subjects.
• Non formal education is the combination of informal(natural) and formal (unreal) education.
• The methods of teaching are pre-planed in non formal education in written form.
• Non formal education is delivered by well educated and trained teachers to the students but mostly the correspondence.
• In non formal type of education certificates and degrees are awarded to the students.
• Non formal education is inner discipline or self imposed.
• Non formal education is take place outside the formal instructions in school, college and universities are included.
